Terri
Hello, I had surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome May of 1999. My shoulder was separated about 2inches prior to surgery, my shoulder feels great. I still have burning and cramping in my left hand. It's most difficult to write a letter, hold a book and as well as not being able to stir food w/o cramping. Trust me, I would have it taken care of because there is immediate relief. Right now my attorney and I are fighting with The Dept. of Labor and Industries for a appeal. They sent me for a quote IME (INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAM,Which those doctor's are paid through Labor and Industries) Jan, 19th they sent a letter to my attorney stating that they had closed my claim because even though I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on my right and require surgery, they said that it wasn't work related which is a bunch of ^&*%^!@$!!! I have been waitressing for over 16 years and because I am Left handed I have always had 90% of the weight from plates to drink trays on my right side. I don't know how long you have been going through this but If I can be of help let me know. Debra
