I had a concussion but did not lose consciousness about 16 months ago. Starting after about 2 weeks after the injury when the swelling and pain began to leave from the area where I hit my head I began to have terrible head aches, balance problems, memory problems, etc. I have been diagnosised Post Consussion Syndrom had every CT, MRI etc, done and they have determined that since the problems did not go away in a year I may have them for ever. The head achec are terrible. I take 1200 mg. of Neurontin daily and two mg. of Ativan to control my anxiety I have developed throughout the ordeal. Has anyone else had this problem and does it ever go or improve. It is bad enough having a poor memory now but if I do not stay on the neurontin and Vioxx my head hurts like the worst Migrane ever. As it is I have mild to severe headaches even taking the Neurontin and if I bend over to lift something heavy or use a hammer, etc. my head throbs for about 24 hours afterwords.
