My brother has been very ill over the last several weeks. The Dr.s believe he has WG. His symptoms are his nasal and throat passages are closing up naturally causing him to have quite a bit of trouble breathing, he has runny, bloody discharge from his nose, he has funny little red skin patches on his forehead. The clincher here is he is a kidney transplant patient, my sister donated him a kidney 10 or so yrs ago. He is on prednisone, emural, cyclosporin and so many other meds I cannot keep up with them all. He just recently got out of the hospital a week or so ago and they did a deep nasal biopsy on him but the test did not conclude he has WG. His blood test have not concluded he has WG, although all his symptoms point in that direction. He is leaving Sunday to fly to Philadelphia, PA to a specialist that is supposed to hopefully find out exactly what is wrong with my brother. He is 31 y/o and he is miserable. I am so afraid he is going to stop breathing or have a heart attack or something since he is having such trouble breathing. He has a nephrologist, allergist, rheumatologist, and I am not sure who else that he has seen for this. If anyone can offer some good news in a bleak situation, please let me know. I am worried sick about my little brother.
