This is a very early days enquiry regarding this disease, which we in Australia call Motor Neurone Disease. Two questions: Is it known to be diagnosed in a patient in their late 70's (I had the idea it was a mid life disease) and secondly are steroids considered effective treatment, they seem to be having a positive effect on what appear to be early symptoms.
