Epidural Catheters are great in the short run but a really bad idea in the long run. RSD is made worse by ANY invasive therapy - if you don't have RSD in your back now, you will after a catheter (and mine was temporary- it was left in only 5 weeks). Check out Dr. Hooshmand in Vero Beach, Florida. He is world renown for RSD and he won't drug you with "pain" killers that won't work with RSD anyway. And don't give up hope! I had whole body RSD at one point and now I am almost painfree. Cindy
