Dawn
I was exposed to Chicken pox when I was about 30 weeks and about a week later developed shingles from my ring finger tip up to my elbow. I was told To rest take plenty of fluids and to not worry about the baby. At best the doctor said my child would have a mild resilience to chicken pox as a child. I had had chicken pox as a child myself already. My baby is now a healthy nine year old with a sweet tooth. He did have chicken pox at the age of thirty months, but it was an average case. Have your daughter ask her doctor about the affects of chicken pox on her baby, but my guess would be if your daughter catches them she will be miserable but the baby probably will be fine. She should drink plenty of water and healthy foods to help.
