My father-in-law has congestive heart failure, valves not working efficiently and he had a heart attack one year ago. He did not even know about the heart attack while it was happening. The medical opinion, currently, is surgery to repair the valves, but this is risky because the heart is functioning only at about 30-40% because of the attack. Does anyone have knowledge of a similar situation? What else, if anythin, can be done besides the surgery? Thank you.
