I'm not sure what dyspraxia is, but it sounds like your son has very similar characteristics to my son (who is four years old) and whom has recently been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. My son is behind in his fine motor skills, is easily frustrated, has poor handwriting, needs to be prompted to follow directions, is very clumsy, has a deficit in social interactions (we always thought he was just extremely shy), talks to himself alot, and he also flaps his hands/arms when he's excited. I happened across the subject of dyspraxia when I was doing searching for "eeg". We have my son enrolled in a special ed preschool, and he will also be attending a special ed kindergarten. The smaller class size (10 children, 2 teachers), has helped him alot with with regards to improving his fine motor skills, and, to some regard, with interacting with other children. He's also stuttered from the time he was 2 1/2 years old. It comes and goes.
