I've been taking guiafenesen. This is usually prescribed for cough. You can even purchase it over the counter in a lower strenth. Simple cough med with guiafensen in it helps your body rid itself of the excess calcium phosphates that collect in your connective tissue and cause all the pain. But, you have to be very cautious about using any type of products on your skin that has sylicilates or silicate in the ingredients. It won't harm you if you do use products with these in it, but the silicates and guaifenesen take up the same area in your kidneys and the purpose of the guai..it so help flush the bad stuff out. If the silicites are there..then it just doesn't work. Good luck...and you might want to look up guaifenesen treatment for chronic pain on the internet...I have found some different websites.
