Joe
I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. It was in my lungs. It started with a small cough, that continued to worsen as the months went by. I thought I just had an allergy at first then I thought I had bad chest cold. My boss finally made me make an appointment at the doctors. He decided to send me to the hospital to get a chest X-Ray because I had the cough for about 3 months. I received a call from the doctors office the next day and they sent me back to the hospital for an emergency chest cat scan. Didn't know what to expect at that time. The doctors don't tell you much. I received a call from the doctors office again that day and they wanted me & my wife in the office that afternoon. Scare me to death. The next day they admitted me to the hospital for a by-opsy. I was very lucky they originally diagnosed me with hodgkins or non-hodgkins disease and they wanted to do the biopsy to find out which one I had. My oncologist is the one that figured out what I really had. They put me thru 6 months of Steroid treatment and right now it is in remission. I still have to go every year for x-rays, bloodwork, and what ever the doctors want to put me thur. Now I still get tired easier than before I got Sarcoid. I wish that they would do some more research to find out what the cause is. I have done alot of research myself thru the internet and I have alot of my relatives and friend in the medical field, but still can't get that final answer "where does it come from" You have my e-mail. If you would like to right back and chat about it some more. Please feel free. They should have some kind of support group when people go thru this. Its the worst thing I have every gone thru in my life (steroids are the worst). Take Care Joe
