I am still in the testing stages of this disease. My doctor identified Pernicious Anemia and high iron levels in my blood 10 years ago. I am 48 now and have become increasing ill. It's gout this week. I have been tested for Lupus, R. Arthritus, thyroid disease, and many, many more diseases. I have also been accused of being a hypochoncdric. Had scans on my brain due to vision problems and various other things. Don't let people get you down. No one understands unless you've been there. Some people refuse to listen to the facts. I am praying that this is the disease to answer these life long problems and that it can be managed. My sister was told she has Lupus. We are praying that I test positive for Hemochromatosis and then she will be tested. She was diagnosed per symptoms rather than actual tests.
