My Father had scleroderma for 3 1/2 years. He has systemic scleroderma which landed in his lungs. He has the same problem with his hands. He bought gloves with a soft lining. He would rather be comfortable than have his hands changing color because by the time they changed color, they usually hurt very badly. He would rather have people question the gloves and be comfortable. Hope this helps. Good luck. The thermal underwear works too but sometimes it can be too hot or uncomfortable. I know my Father liked loose fitting clothing while he was ill.
