Hi Debbie, I know what you mean about being a spectator and not a participant. I am 37 yrs old, diagnosed 1 year ago, on a fluke.. I just thought that not being able to see at nite was the way it was. It was only when I became concerned about reading glasses did I mention my clumsiness to the Dr. and When they diagnosed me. I instantly became legally blind only having 10% of my peripheal vision left. I continue to drive as usual during the day. Never at night and never in heavy traffic. I seem to have adjusted to RP during the course of my life, so therefore driving has been the same for me for ever. I hope a cure comes soon, and hope this doesn't effect my central vision. I now how 20/20. thank God... Good Luck
