Dear Jorge, I asm sorry that I cannot be the one to provide you with information as I am just starting out on that route myself. My mother is showing signs which may be for cerebellar ataxia but we are finding the doctors will not grasp the certainty of her symptoms, and all she has been told is that MRI scane shows "degeneration of the cerebellum consistent with ehr age (81)". However, day by day she is becoming more shaky and less able to walk. Cannot feel her feet. Does not know where in space she is. Does not feel dizzy - just can't balance. Is terrified. Can you tell me a bit about your own illness and how is started and howyou got it diagnosed, and if my mother indeed shares the illness, we would be most happyt to swap info with you on drugs and so on. Hope this email does not anger you as it cannot offer help right now. We are still, as you see, in the pre-diagnosis stage. Thanks for reading this. Val Moore
