Jan, I am sorry to learn of yet another person in your condition and position. There are alot of books out now that deal with FMS and have resources listed in the back. If you are near a university hospital, try getting in to see either a neuralogist or rheumatologist. I don't know which meds you have tried, but tri-cyclics are almost a sure thing. Also Ambien really helps with sleep. The new glucosamine drugs (over-the-counter) may help (as they did me), but are costly. The best thing that helped me was finding a doctor who wasn't dead-against using narcotics for legitimate pain-relief. Once they kick in, you will feel betterenough to think straight, enabling you also to get on a good exercise regimen. Make sure you use a good multi-vitamin with alot of B's and calcium, maganese, and E. Best to you.
