Tony
I also had plantar fasciitis, and the pain later moved up to my hip, and I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis(AS) . I have a couple of suggestions: 1)have your doctor do a HBLA-27 to assure that you dont have AS. 2)Go to an orthopedic shoe store and buy a pair of Spenco heel cushions. This will provide you with much more comfort. I still used these heel cushions. 3) To treat the inflamation on your feet, put a styrafoam cup of water in the freezer and let it become ice. Then, peel the bottom of the cup and rub the bottom of your feet with the ice (use the upper portion of the cup to hold and your hands wont freeze). This therapy will be excruciating at first, but your foot will become numb after a while and it will decrease the inflamation, thus cause you less pain. I hope this advice has been helpful to you. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
