Hi Joe - Can passing kidney stones cause one to experience Diarrhea and being nauseous and vomiting? **If you are vomiting and nauseous then it may be that you have blockage, the stone may be having trouble passing. I think the poisons get backed up in your body and cause this. I had an obstruction and could not keep any fluids or food down. I went to the emergency room where they administered IV liquids, pain medicine, and felt much better after an hour or so. The pain may come back if the stone does not pass and you may need IV fluids again. Maybe that is part of what causes the nausea and vomiting, dehydration. My stone was a floater so it blocked and moved but finally passed. It turns out that I also have a staghorn kidney stone. It fills up the whole inside of the kidney.
