I have dealt w/ this unsuccessfully for 2 yrs, off and on each Sept. If your child is already infected, put olive oil in their hair overnight, continue as long as it takes to kill the lice. A great preventative measure is to put tea-tree oil in their shampoo. I do this now the night before the first day of school and use that for about 3 months. I haven't had a flare up in 2yrs. Your kids are not dirty and THIS TOO SHALL PASS. I know it's a nightmare. I bombed my house and moved into a hotel and spent hundreds of dollars on over the counter meds. This works and it's inexpensive. Tree-tree oil can be purchased at any health food store. Use the concentrate (about 6 drops) Let me know how you do!!
