Donna
Hi' I have an 8 year old son how suffers from dizziness, fullness feelings in the ears, fluctuating hearing loss, and ringing and hissing sounds in the ear. He has not been diagnosed with Meniere's but it sounds so much like what my son is going through. All of his hearing tests came back good and show no signs of hearing loss, although he still complains that he can't hear some days and experiences all these other symptoms. Can anyone tell me if there are certain testa that Dr.'s can do to check children for Meniere's? I have had my son to 5 diffeent doctors and ENT's all with no help, he did just get one doctor to approve a CT scan, but they said that the temporal bones looked fine and that he did have membrane thickening in the sinus area. This is effecting my son's daily life having to deal with these things, and school is so difficult for him, and teachers feel he isn't paying attention because he has these symptoms daily. If anyone can tell me anything or give me any information regarding children with this...please leave me a messsage or email me. One more question..Will a hearing aid help my son with the fluctuating hearing loss? Thank You
