12/7/99 To: Anyone who can help My brother is a 57 year old male in otherwise good health. He was recently diagnosed with stage 3 (I am a little confused by this, as we were told that there is no lymph node or other organ involvement, but there is some encroachment on the duodenom) adenol ductal carcinoma. He was deemed inoperable because of the tumor encroachment on veins/arteries that supply blood to the intestinal tract. I have been searching, reading and learning about this terrible cancer over the past couple of weeks. For my brother's situation, I have come to the conclusion that the only chance that he has (short of an outright miracle) of survival is to undergo a treatment(s) that will shrink his tumor enough so that it can be surgically removed. If anyone has any information on a treatment or dietary supplement program (anecdotal, or otherwise) that shows promise for pancreatic tumor shrinking that we can investigate, please contact me at warmez@earthlink.net I realize that any information forwarded to me is not a recomendation for a specific treatment, or a claim to the efficacy of the same. I will accept any and all information simply as the sharing of information, nothing else. 12/20/99 update My brother has decided to participate in a phase 2 study of Taxol with Radiation at Loma Linda. Does anyone have an opinion on the benefits of an Anti-Angiogenisis regimen after this intial therapy? Thank you in advance for your assistance, and Happy Holidays. Chris Ward
