My partner was diagnosed with a brain tumor, classified as mixed glioma (astrocytoma and oligodendroglioma). His was in excess of six centimeters, and he is currently four weeks out of surgery. His tumor is in the right temporal lobe, where his speech and memory function is. His first surgery was to implant 100 electrodes for mapping purposes, the second to remove what of the tumor they could while preserving his speech and memory. They removed appr. 80% of the tumor, and he is speaking fine. At this point we are beginning the process of treatment with either Chemo or Radiation. If anyone has experience with the latest forms of Chemotherapy for low to moderate grade primary brain tumors, please let us know your take on it. Thanks!
