HI EVERYONE. I'M 47 AND WAS DIAGNOSED 5 YRS. AGO. I'M TOLD I'M LUCKY AND AN UNUSUAL CASE. I ASKED MY DR. ABOUT THE IMPLANT SURGERY YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT. IT'S BEING DONE AT JOHNS HOPKINS AND MY DR IS A FRIEND OF THE DR WHO IS DOING IT. GOOD AND BAD NEWS. GOOD NEWS IS THERE IS HOPE. BAD NEWS IS IT IS ONLY BEING PERFORMED ON RP PATIENTS WHO ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY BLIND. I'M THINKING ABOUT LASER SURGERY FOR MY NEARSIGHTEDNESS AND MY DR DOESN'T SEE WHY NOT ALTHOUGH HE DOESN'T KNOW OF ANYONE WITH RP WHO HAS EVER DONE IT. I ONLY HAVE ONE GOOD EYE. THE LEFT ONE IS PRETTY WORTHLESS SO I WOULD BE TAKING A CHANCH ALTHOUGH VERY SMALL WITH MY ONE GOOD EYE. ANY THOUGHTS?
