Yes, it is very possible to have GWS without being there. I have GWS because I was there but that's a different story. Gulf war syndrome is spreading throughout the general population through saliva and semen. Also, the high winds of the desert in the area of the war have placed these biological agents into the jet stream. Often people confuse GWS with Lyme's disease because of very similar medical symptoms. There are about fifteen symptoms with the GWS which you should look up under the internet. Just plug in Gulf War Illness under the internet's "health" selection and you will find all your answers. There is no known test to determine if you have it and there is no cure. There are only several medicines that can make it more tolerable to live with, and eventually die with. It is a terminal disease. Good luck. Daniel W.
