Dear Missy, I had a therapist (for low self esteem) tell me she had a "math" dyslexia that wasn't found until she was in college. Having that diagnosed (by councelor at school I think)she was able to get, by law, special help to get her through the required math classes. I do the same things you do and I find it so frustrating I could scream because it makes you feel "less" than everyone else doesn't it? I am 46 and was also recently diagnosed with ADHD! What I am doing to help me NOW is reading the book "the Gift of dyslexia", seeing a therapist for the self esteem problems that rear up regularly over it, and I'M searching for a job I will truly enjoy doing after I retire with 30 years (in 1079 days but who's counting?!) I may deliver flowers, I may work in a plant nursery or I may be a greater at Walmart but I certainly won't be doing anything like what I'm doing now! Good luck to you! Find something you love to do and God Bless!
