I was diagnosed with WG alomost 10 years ago. After almost a year of seeing doctors regarding a variety if symptoms, the diagnosis was made by a nephrologist when he discovered that my kidneys were not functioning properly. I have been treated all of this time with prednisone although cytoxin is also used. Recent treatments have turned this desease from a death sentence to a manageable chronic condition however it's important that you develop a relationship with a physician, preferably a rheumotologist or one that has experience in treating auto-immune disorders. Have frequent blood tests including ANCA and SED rate to monitor the desease and one should be able to carry on a relatively normal life. Good luck. Bill
