Was he tested because he was sick or been exposed?: Just wondering... A few yrs ago (maybe 2) my husband was told he tested positive for Hep 2 antibodies...He had donated blood to the Red Cross....and got a letter telling him not to donate again...because of it...They also went on to say that if he did he would be placed on a national register as having it. WEll that made him somewhat mad... When I called The REd Cross..the lady said ..."oh don't worry mam I'm not trying to tell you your husband has cheated on you...blah ...blah.....then went on to say but you do get this from sexual contact,,,blood,,,only direct methods." I never doubted my husband.. He did get retested at the VA when he went in for a routine physical and found HE DID NOT HAVE HEP B ANTIBODIES... THE RED CROSS WAS WRONG... SO THESE TEST CAN BE WRONG EITHER DUE TO HUMAN ERROR OR OTHER..IN OUR CASE I BELIEVE NOW IT WAS JUST INCOMPENTENCE...
