My daughter was having fainting spells. Then one night she fainted in the hallway in the dorm at college and hit her head. Finally, the doctor ordered a "tilt table" test. As a result, we found that Her condition is caused by low blood pressure. The blood pools in her legs. There is a name for it and I wrote it down somewhere. Anyway, she is now on medication (which the dosage had to be adjusted) and doing much better. She has told her roommates/friends if she should faint that they should raise her legs up so that the blood starts to flow back to the heart. She usually is quite aware if this is going to happen and can take precautions, such as immediately laying down (no matter where she is!) because you do not want any added injuries. She also for some reason feels "sick to her stomach" for awhile after she had fainted. Hopefully, your doctor can help. Our primary doctor ordered the test and a cardiologist was there monitering her the whole time and was able to consult with another cardiologist who specializes in such. Good luck!
