I had a parathryroidectomy two years ago. I was experiencing extreme fatigue, weight gain, and dizziness also before the surgery. The surgeon removed a tumor and one of my parathryoids. The tumor was about the size of a quarter and benign (most of them are). I had been having so much pain in my kidneys from the extra calcium that was being pulled from my bones from the tumor that I could hardly walk. (I also had a bone scan done before and after the surgery...luckily we got it in time before I started having osteoparothis.) After the surgery, I had no more pain, no more fatigue, or dizziness! It was a total success. I would highly recommend the surgery. The pain from the surgery was minimal...I didn't even need the painkillers they prescribed and the surgeon put the incision in a natural wrinkle so I don't even have a noticeable scar! Good luck!
