Hi, I too suffer from Hashimotos' disease, and on high levels of thyroid medicine. I suffer from severe fatigue and constantly battling my weight. I have had thyroid problems since I was in my late teens, and only in the last 7 years was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease by my indocrinologist doctor. He said that I could put on weight with only taken in 1000 calories a day, if I didn't excerise some to burn off what I eat. I have a stationery bike that seems to help keep my weight down somewhat, but I am on so much medicine that I feel like at times I am fighting a losing battle. When you are diagnosed with this, your thyroid is just about nile. It is about not working at all, only a fraction. If you would like to email me, I will be glad to email you back and we could stay in touch. Good luck to you in what ever you decide to do, but I suggest you go to a good endrocrinologist doctor that specializes in this type of condition.
